Really easy and delicious recipe. But I think we could have just gone with the rub and it would have been just as much. I don't think the additional bbq sauce is needed.

UNBELIEVABLE ! They turned out SO good! I have to be honest.. I never thought an Instant Pot could rival the ribs made on the grill. I followed the recipe but only had one rack. I took a chance and set the IP for the time called for in the recipe. They were perfect! Fall off the bone, moist, and full of flavor. I added 1 TBSP of liquid smoke which I seen on another AR recipe and it was perfect! Ya gotta try this One!

Easy and delish.

Made exactly as written and they were incredible. The dry rub is really good, not too spicy, and made enough for 2 racks, which I did in 2 batches in the Instant Pot. I made them, put them on a foil-lined pan, then covered them. Just before we ate, I covered them in BBQ sauce and put them under the broiler until the sauce was bubbling. We didn't eat until much later, so they were just a little bit dry by then. Next time I may pressure them for a couple less minutes, but they could have been dry because they sat for so long. Recipe is excellent and well written.

I left out the hot spices. Just a personal choice. Will definitely make this again. One of my favorite Insta pot meals. Made corn on the cob first wrapped them in foil and set them on the side of the grill. Then cooked the ribs the meat fell of the bone. Everyone loved it!

Followed the recipe as written with one substitution. Used Stevia instead of Brown sugar to make it lower in Carbs. Very good ribs! I will make them again.

My family loved these. They were super tender and flavorful. I have the 6 qt so I could only fit 1 rack at a time. I will make these again.

Tasted great and wife even liked them! Took the advise of some and halved the brown sugar. Making it again

Another winner for the Instant Pot! I've been grilling and smoking ribs for decades. These are very good and fast. The fat renders well (I was suspicious). I'll try my rub and sauce next time, but again, these were very good.

Did not make any changes except to use my homemade rub. They were delicious fall off the bone ribs. Am making again!!
01/31/2019
No changes, will make it again. Delicious!!

Turned out pretty good but needed an extra 15 minutes of cook time and I think it would be better with Sweet Baby Rays sauce.
01/16/2019
The dry rub was very good. The flavor of the ribs was great as was the tenderness of the meat. Will definitely save and use again

I used one rack and cooked for 20 min. Falling off bone tender and delicious. Shortened prep time with store bought barbecue & mesquite dry rubs. Added a little brown sugar for luck. My husband & I loved them!
09/09/2018
I used more smoked paprika and less chili powder. Finished mine on the grill as my oven was in use. They were wonderful!

Ribs in an Instant Pot? Seriously? Everyone I knew with one raved how good they turned out. I was super skeptical because I'm still new to the IP. However, I gave this a try and OMG! AMAZING!!! I forgot the apple cider and they were still good, but I'm not forgetting when I make them again because I believe that will just add to the flavor. I've NEVER had success with at home ribs ever before. My husband couldn't believe it. If he hadn't seen me making them he would've said I'd gotten takeout somewhere. And he'd have wanted to know where because these just became some of the best ribs he'd ever eaten!

WOW!!! For months my multi-cooker sat on the shelf because I was afraid to try it. With recipes and explicit instructions like this one, who needs to be afraid. These ribs were phenomenal. I used one long rack of ribs and followed the instructions to the letter. The meat was falling off the bone and the flavor.....to die for. This will be my go-to recipe from here on out.
05/27/2019
They were delicious. I made exactly as directed & this will be my go-to from now on.

Sooooo Good and Sooooo easy.... doing them again tonight~~~

Fall Off The Bone Ribs indeed! My family of meat eaters and Barbeque connoisseurs gave these 2 thumbs up! I made a few changes along the way: I was in a rush so I didn't bother removing the membrane from the ribs... not a problem. The meat was tender. I didn't add the brown sugar or cover with barbeque sauce because we don't eat sugar....again, not a problem. The ribs were savory, tender and very flavorful! As the recipe stated, I finished them up by putting them under the broiler just to evaporate the liquid and put a crust on top. My one recommendation would be to cover the raw ribs in the rub a few hours before cooking them, letting them absorb the flavors.

Excellent. Though next time I will cook for 30 minutes. Didn't change any ingredients. Will make again. Hubby loved.
08/01/2019
Super easy recipe to make and OH SO good! Definitely on my go to list.

This recipe is awesome!!! Very easy to follow especially for someone like me who is the WORST cook in the world lol! The ribs were indeed falling off the bone. I used the "Ribs" function on my pressure cooker which cooked them for about 40 minutes. Then I added some bbq sauce and placed them in the oven uncovered for about 10 minutes and they were still very tender and delicious! Next time I will add a little more seasoning or a different recipe. But other than that they were perfect, thanks!

I used boneless ribs. The ribs were tender and juicy. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that it was a little on the spicy side with the chili powder (I didn't when use as much as it called for) and pepper. Next time we'll probably remote the chili powder all together. Otherwise they were delicious.

Spectacular flavor, the meat truly did fall off the bones!
08/14/2020
I just finished making this. It actually needed 35mins to cook (probably more since it takes time to pressurize). I tried it without the bbq sauce but felt it lacking. So I did it with and it complimented the rub.
02/15/2020
Set time for 30 min. 25 min. Is too short.
09/03/2020
These were wonderful! I will definitely make them again.

This recipe makes THE PERFECT RIBS!! This praise coming from a bit of a rib snob... I worried that so much caked-on spice rub would be off-putting, but everything melded & mellowed & was absolutely delicious. My family of 7 loves this recipe so much that I've used it 4 times in the last 5 weeks! 1st Time - made as directed & the ribs were devoured in record time! Sad, no leftovers. 2nd Time - I added some liquid smoke plus a few red pepper flakes for a kick (although a spicy bbq sauce would do the same) - again, delicious! 3rd Time - I used this as a rub on frozen boneless chicken breasts, which I cooked in my InstantPot & finished in the oven... super yummy! 4th Time - made as written, & I sit here salivating as I anxiously wait for the ribs to finish! I think I'll next try this rub on a bit of salmon... watch for an update!

Perfect as is! This recipe was recommended to me by my daughter when I invited her with her family for a cookout. I guess she wanted to make sure her picky eaters would eat. THEY DID!
08/26/2020
Very easy and tastes amazing!!
11/12/2019
Super tender ribs. I did the recipe the brushed with raspberry Chipotle BBQ sauce the on the charcoal grill for color. All gone that night!!
05/10/2020
Excellent the meat did fall off the bone used apple juice instead of beef broth
12/24/2019
best ribs I've ever tasted
12/04/2019
Didn't have all ingredients for the dry rub so I used all spice otherwise followed the recipe as written and ribs were fall off the bone and tasty even on the following day.

This is the second meal I've made in my new Instant Pot and it was fantastic. I was fortunate enough to buy the duo crisp model, which comes with an Air Fryer lid, so there was no need to put the ribs in the oven under the broiler. After I pressure cooked the ribs I swapped the lids and air fried them for around 10 minutes. The ribs turned out amazing. I love this device. I can finally do substantial meals through the week, not just on weekends. No more soup and sandwich!!!

Very good and easy to make. Thank you!
08/04/2021
These are wonderful and tender. The sauce is delicious. Hubby couldn't stop eating them. I forgot to remove the membranes, that would have made them even better.
01/07/2020
Excellent recipe, the ribs came out amazingly tender. I kept the seasoning basic using salt, pepper, garlic granules and onion powder, used a honey BBQ sauce to finish under the broiler.
03/03/2019
I used apple juice instead of water and eliminated the sugar. I popped them on the grill for 5 minutes instead of putting them in the oven. The texture was great. I will be adjusting the spices a little to make it more to my liking. I will add some cayenne pepper next time. I will make them again.
03/28/2020
I was so skeptical BUT this recipe is amazing! The rub makes it so good and they turn out so tender. Finish them under the broiler and maybe add a little liquid smoke to the water/vinegar liquid and I swear you won't be able to tell that these didn't smoke for 10 hours.
04/14/2019
Exceptional basic recipe that is easy to tweak to your own personal taste preferences. Loved it!
06/10/2021
I made it and what a wonderful technique (trick) to use Instant Pot to cook it first! One small change, after cooked, we used the grill to give the color and char addition and of course flavor added from that, but it took 10 minutes! Delicious...the only way to cook those type of meats that take long to fall of the bone traditionally, use your Instant Pot!
09/26/2021
Where to start? Reduce the cooking time. Fall off the bone is a marketing term. There's little goodness left by the time ribs fall off the bone. If you must add barbecue sauce to the cook, make it three or 4 tablespoons spread over the ribs. Next time find someone to smoke some baby back ribs for you so that you can really enjoy a special treat. Cold slaw is a must and baked beans go very well to complete the meal.
05/24/2022
These were amazing and way to easy! Followed the recipe to a T except I had no onion powder. I used a slab and a half! Awesome!
01/13/2020
This was the first recipe I tried in my Instant Pot and it turned out great! Very yummy and relatively easy to make!
02/08/2020
This recipe was easy to make And turned out amazingly well. The instant pot did the work of making the ribs super tender. I loved the dry rub And I actually let the dry rub Marinate on the ribs in the fridge for about 1/2 hour. Everyone loved them!
07/16/2020
This was first time I've ever made ribs and they came out great thanks to this recipe!
04/27/2019
Good recipe for an instant pot.
09/09/2019
So easy and fast. But really, if you have your own rub, you can just follow the cooking instructions with the water and vinegar in the bottom and go from there.
02/03/2020
Ribs always come out tender and almost falling off bone!
02/18/2020
Followed the recipe and it was yummy! Ribs were really tender.
11/27/2019
You weren't kidding these are fall off the bone good. Delicious and couldn't get enough. But....I had to share. Definite thumbs up.
12/13/2019
Well, 25 minutes in my Instant Pot wasn't quite enough. It was cooked, but not that soft. There is no option for "high" on my Instant Pot - there's only 1 temp it gets to. I made it without the sugar, and ate some with bbq sauce, some without. Personally, I didn't really care for the taste of the chili powder on the ribs, but perhaps combined with more sugar, it would be more tasty! But I don't generally eat sugar. Next time, I'd leave out the chili powder, increase the salt, and maybe increase the smoked paprika.

Added 1tbs liquid smoke to pressure cooker with apple cider vinegar and water. Amazing!
11/17/2019
so good! will make again
05/17/2020
Made these but took suggestions of others and only put dry rub on ribs before pressure cooking (no bbq sauce). Cooked on high pressure for 25 minutes and they were falling off the bone - maybe a little too much. Our son wanted dry rub ribs so when they came out I added more dry rub and a spritz of oil, and threw them on the bbq for a few minutes on each side.
03/28/2020
Excellent! This were easy to make and little mess!
12/23/2021
Very good great flavor.
05/15/2022
Oh my word! These are most definitely "fall off the bone" tender! Super easy to make. I used boneless ribs, but when I used my tongs to lift them out of the instant pot they immediately started to fall apart. Then when I put them under the broiler, I tried to turn them after a couple minutes and again they fell apart. Absolutely delicious!
07/01/2021
I add about 1/2 TBSP of liquid smoke to the liquid to add a little smoky flavor. I love how these come out. I have a smoker and I prefer this method.
04/04/2022
Was really, really good. We made them last night and are having ribs again tonight they are that good. 30 minutes might be a better time because the were not "fall off the bone", which is why only 4 star's.
12/31/2020
This recipe was very good! The meat did truly fall off the bones. I enjoyed the flavor from the spices/seasonings and broiling sealed the deal! The recipe was easy to make and I had all the items necessary on hand. Smoked paprika is a seasoning I only recently added to my pantry and am happy I did. I have used it in a few recipes of late and it adds great flavor.
